This definitive book discusses why a company or individual would want to offer Internet services, how to select which ones to provide, and in-depth instructions for creating, maintaining, and integrating them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1148: O'Reilly's "PGP: Pretty Good Privacy" We have just released PGP: Pretty Good Privacy, a guide to this free, widely available, and highly effective encryption program. PGP (which, indeed, stands for Pretty Good Privacy) provides protection for files and electronic mail. Written by Phil Zimmermann and released in 1991, PGP works on virtually every platform and has become very popular both in the U.S. and abroad. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1149: Aurora High-Speed 64 Port Terminal and Modem Server Users of SPARC workstations and servers can now add 64 high-speed asynchronous serial lines to their networks without the cost and performance compromise of ethernet-based terminal servers. The new Multiport Model 6400SX from Aurora Technologies provides higher throughput and lower system overhead by processing I/O on-board, freeing the host system for applications processing, and freeing the network from unnecessary data traffic. The product is ideal for organizations that require remote dial-up access from branch offices for file and application sharing, bulletin board server installations, remote data feeds, and Internet connections. "SunFlash" is the continuation of that journal. When "SunFlash" grew to about 100 articles per month, 140,000+ subscribers and 30,000+ article requests per month I decided that it was time to make some changes. For a variety of reasons, I started the two new journals, "The Sun FlashBack" and "The Internet Sun FlashBack" , and moved production of all three journals to an independent company with its own resouces and Internet domain (FlashBack.COM). My goal, as always, is to provide useful, timely, high-quality information to the Sun user community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 9002: FlashBack and SunFlash Index This article contains a one line index entry for each of the articles posted to the electronic journals that I edit and publish: "SunFlash" , "The Sun FlashBack" and "The Internet Sun FlashBack" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You may send for any of these articles by sending mail to FlashBack@FlashBack.COM.
