SMCC thoroughly tests its storage and memory products for 100% compatibility and peak performance. With these aggressive prices, Sun offers the best value for mass storage and memory products. As usual, these new memory and disk prices are dramatically lower than comparable products from other system vendors. Sun also offers better value than third party vendors. o All these new products are backed by a level of engineering commitment no third party can match. Sun's disk products offer superior quality, reliability, and performance, yet are priced competitively with third parties. o Third party memory prices are rising. Japanese suppliers have recently raised prices to third parties by 10-15%. o Sun is the only 100% compatible supplier of memory. In addition, Sun's mass storage products are now backed by a full one-year return-to-factory warranty. SPARCstation(TM) LX(TM) system configurations that have 32 MB memory and 1.05-GB disk are price reduced to reflect the mass storage and memory price reductions. 4-MB MEMORY OPTION TRANSITION ----------------------------- The 4-MB memory option (X105Z) for the SPARCstation SLC(TM) is being transitioned off the price list.
