In concert with module repricing on Sun's desktop systems, Sun Microsystems
Computer Corporation (SMCC) is offering lower prices on module upgrades
from SPARCserver(TM) 600MP-Cypress systems to SPARCserver 600MP-Viking systems
within the SPARCserver 600MP family.

Q. Why is SMCC lowering prices on these module upgrades?

A. Today's announcement of price decreases on selected SPARCstation(TM) 10
   systems and module upgrades within the SPARCstation 10 line, combined
   with this price decrease on upgrades from SPARCserver 600MP-Cypress to
   SPARCserver 600MP-Viking, reflects SMCC's commitment to offer its
   customer base attractive opportunities to keep its machines on the
   leading edge.
