	Island Graphics Introduces IslandPresents (tm), 
     Presentation and Business Graphics Solution for UNIX

       Includes new modules IslandChart and IslandTable

UniForum '92 / San Francisco, California (January 20, 1992) -- Island
Graphics Corporation (San Rafael, California) today introduced
IslandPresents, a complete WYSIWYG presentation and business graphics
solution, which includes two new modules, IslandChart and IslandTable,
in addition to the award-winning IslandPaint. The $995 IslandPresents
will be available for OPEN LOOK in first quarter 1992, and in late
second quarter in an OSF/Motif version for HP workstations.

"IslandPresents answers our customers' requests for Mac-like
presentation tools that take advantage of UNIX power," said Paul Remer,
Island Graphics' executive vice-president.

IslandPresents is intended for users in both technical and commercial
environments who need to be able to visually communicate their ideas to
others.  The modules in IslandPresents make a complete set of tools
that work smoothly together and, at the same time, are separate so that
in each work mode the interface remains simple and uncluttered.

The main module, IslandPresents, includes Outliner, Slide Editor and
Organizer views.  Users can create slides in the Outliner, where ideas
can be freely rearranged or regrouped at any time, or in the Slide
Editor view.  Changes are dynamically reflected in both views in either
case.  Users can rearrange the order of slides in IslandPresents in the
Organizer view, or in the Outliner.

The program provides color 35mm slide output to selected film recorders
and output to overhead transparencies.

IslandChart lets users create persuasive data-driven color business
graphics, including bar charts, pie charts and line charts as well as
many others.  Users can import data in Wingz, Lotus 1-2-3 and
WordPerfect data file formats, and generate single or multiple charts
automatically from any portion of the data.  Data can also be entered
by hand.

IslandTable is a complete, easy-to-use table editor which allows users
to create full-color WYSIWYG tables incorporating high-quality text and
graphics.  Tables can be pasted and imported into IslandWrite memos,
letters and reports, and into IslandDraw diagrams and illustrations.

Each module in IslandPresents provides output to color as well as black
and white PostScript printers, and to HP LaserJet and PaintJet
printers.

Import features include acceptance of continuous or delimited ASCII
text as well as text in IslandWrite format.  IslandPresents imports
color and monochrome graphics from a variety of formats.  It imports
EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) graphics, and vector graphics from
IslandDraw.  It also imports graphics in HPGL, CGM and PICT formats.
Raster graphics are accepted from IslandPaint's TIFF format, and from
Sun Raster, MacPaint, X11 Bitmap, X Window Dumps and GIF formats.

IslandPresents will be available from the same distributors and
value-added resellers that sell Island Write, Draw & Paint.
