        SunExpress PC Emulation Product Upgrade Promotion

This offer is only available to customers through SunExpress. Part

 From now until March 31, 1992, SMCC customers can take advantage
of a special SunExpress PC Emulation Product Upgrade promotion.
Through this promotion, customers can buy Insignia's SoftPC 2.1 from
SunExpress today, and be among the first to receive an upgrade to Sun's
new PC emulation product in Q4 FY92.

DOS Windows 1.0 is Sun's current PC emulation product, which has been
available from Sun since 1989.  SoftPC is Insignia Solutions' PC
emulation product, available for SPARC since 1990.  Insignia recently
introduced SoftPC version 2.1, which includes VGA graphics.  As
previously announced, Sun is developing a next-generation PC emulation
software product, based in part on Insignia's SoftPC 3.0 technology.

The purpose of this promotion is to allow customers to take advantage
of current PC emulation technology, while maintaining an upgrade path
to Sun's new product.

Current DOS Windows 1.0 or SoftPC 2.0 customers can also take advantage
of this SunExpress promotion by getting the Q4 FY92 upgrade at a
special price.  DOS Windows 1.0 customers covered by software support
contracts will receive the Q4 FY92 upgrade at no additional cost as
part of their contract.  Therefore, those customers may not be
interested in this upgrade promotion.

Sun is also developing hardware accelerator products, which will give
SPARC workstation users access to high performance MS-DOS
capabilities.  Both the software and hardware products are planned for
availability in Q4 FY92.

U.S. PRICING AND ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS

U.S. customers can call SunExpress at 1-800-USA-4SUN to order
(Press 2 for telesales and 1 for software). This promotion is
available only through SunExpress to U.S. customers, and
expires March 31, 1992.

Customers can purchase SoftPC 2.1 with the Q4 FY92 upgrade for $749.
Existing SoftPC 2.0 customers can upgrade to SoftPC 2.1 and receive the
Q4 FY92 upgrade for $218.  Existing DOS Windows customers can purchase
the Q4 FY92 upgrade for $149.  Special pricing is also available for
right-to-use licenses.
