Version 8 Architecture Manual - useful for engineers developing designs utilizing the SPARC architecture, from software engineers working on compilers, to hardware engineers implementing this architecture on Silicon. The Manual details the SPARC Architecture Version 8 including an Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) definition, the Register File, and a description of the operations of Register Window and an elaboration on different software dependent issues. In addition, the manual provides a very detailed description of traps and interrupts and includes a trap model. SI Member Price: $22.00 Non Member: $37.00 2. MBus Interface Specifications (Version 1.2) - This document is a must for any Hardware Engineer designing next generation Computer System. The MBus Interface Specifications is a detailed description of the MBus Interface Protocol. MBus is a System/CPU interconnect protocol. The document describes every Cycle type possible on the MBus in great detail. Lots of `cornercases' are pointed out and include different solutions. The Spec also includes all Electrical (AC & DC) and Mechanical characteristics. Drawings of the pin-out and the connector are also included. It is internally divided into two Levels: Level 1 is a definition for a Uni-Processor System; Level 2 is a description of a Multi-Processor System. SI Member Price: $19.20 Non Member: $39.50 3. SCD 1.1 - The SPARC Compliance Definition (SCD) defines a set of operating system interfaces that all SPARC Compliant systems must provide to ensure binary interoperability of SPARC Compliant software. SCD 1.1 is based upon the openly-licensed SunOS Release 4.1 source product from Sun Microsystems, its libraries, and its utilities. SPARC International has partitioned the system features into categories in order to establish a standardbinary interface for application programs. Future extensions and enhancements will be added to the standard as advocated and approved by SPARC International members.
