Terms and conditions for consulting specials are shown on a separate terms and conditions statement. One-page datasheets for each of the software specials and the Ts&Cs statement are available through the consulting archive server. They may be printed in the local office using troff and a LaserWriter, and distributed to customers when appropriate. For more information on how to use the archive server to get datasheets, send a mail message to consult-info@sun.com with a subject line of "help". Some customer requirements are not addressed either by the standard Sun product offerings or by these "standard specials" from consulting. For those situations, we offer the option of time-and-materials consulting. To contact Sun Consulting about specials, or to arrange for custom consulting, call (415)336-2400 or e-mail consult@sun.com ========================================= = Software Specials Availability Policy = ========================================= In general, software specials may not be purchased for unreleased hardware and pre-FCS versions of SunOS. Consulting requires a standard SunOS release with full source to be available first, before it is possible to port many of the consulting specials. Source generally becomes available to consulting two to four weeks following FCS of an official software release. This may limit the use of specials on some new hardware models until a standard SunOS release supporting the new hardware is available. Source is not generally released for special SunOS versions, beta/gamma releases, etc. ================= = Pricing Notes = ================= Prices shown on this summary are current U.S. dollar prices. These prices supersede any pricing shown on older copies of the datasheets. Prices are not discountable. For European customers, please contact the consulting staff at Sun Microsystems Europe for current special prices in local currencies. Please consult your local Sun rep for O/S-hardware availability and pricing of any special that your are interested in.
