NetWare SunLink provides NetWare file and print connectivity while retaining the much more robust application environment of Solaris and enabling server functions such as RDBMS back-ends. Oracle and Ingres, for example, have announced that they will develop NetWare-based interfaces for Suns using NetWare SunLink. This means customers will get the benefit of retaining their existing desktop and network investment while having access to the aggressive database server price performance offered by SMCC servers.
