SunLink DNI is the enterprise connectivity product that allows early penetration of DECnet accounts where DECnet is the predominant network architecture - with minimal training and no additional hardware. With the release of SunLink DNI 7.0, penetrating those closed DECnet accounts is made even easier. Key features and enhancements were made to the SunLink DNI 6.0 core product for ease-of-use and increased functionality for application users, developers, and network administrators. By providing interoperability Sun workstations may be chosen over DEC workstations for higher performance, better graphics capabilities, and extensive OpenWindows-based applications. The SunLink DEC connectivity products offer a reliable, cost-effective, entry-level DEC connectivity solution for DECnet Phase IV networks. Approximately 65% of Sun sites today have a VAX system and there are 66,000+ DECnet backbones.
