Its annual conference is generally acknowledged as the biggest and best general meeting on information technology policy, trends and applications in higher education. This year, over 3000 representatives of higher education, industry and government will gather at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor campus, October 16-19 for this Conference. The EDUCOM Conference theme will be "Lessons From the Past, Strategies for the Future," in honor of EDUCOM's 25th anniversary. Sun Microsystems will sponsor a 600 sq. foot booth with the theme "Great Ideas Should Be Shared." Sun employees from Education Marketing, Product Marketing, CSD, and the Corporate Trade Show group will attend the show. The Sun booth will be designed to simulate a campus environment with 8 stations representing areas of study at a university.
