Best case performance is 195K 3D vectors/sec for groups of 512 - 10 pixel polylines. An un-tuned real-life application is already getting 80K 3D vectors/sec. - SunPHIGS 1.1 is PHIGS and PHIGS+ functionality accelerated on all Sun-3/4/SPARCstations, GX, CXP, GXP, and TAAC-1 systems. - New orders, updates to customers on maintenance, and updates to all field sales office libraries will occur over the next 30 days. - SunPHIGS 1.1 requires SunOS 4.0.3 for all systems, and feature tape if GXP. Each box of SunPHIGS 1.1 has the 4.0.3-GFX feature tape. SunOS 3.5, Sun386i, and Sun-2 are not supported. - SunPHIGS 1.0 is now obsolete and no longer orderable. - A SunPHIGS training class will be available in January 1990.
