For Solaris 7-8 releases, refer to the man pages for instructions on using 'patchadd' and 'patchrm' scripts provided with Solaris. Any other special or non-generic installation instructions should be described below as special instructions. The following example installs a patch to a standalone machine: example# patchadd /var/spool/patch/104945-02 The following example removes a patch from a standalone system: example# patchrm 104945-02 For additional examples please see the appropriate man pages. Special Install Instructions: ----------------------------- These special instructions only apply if upgrading from a patch prior to 112125-06 If the raid controller firmware version is not 03.01.04.75 or greater, the firmware in this patch must be loaded by using the RM6 maintenance application before actually using the arrays. All arrays connected to the host where this patch is installed must have the same firmware level. If LUNs are missing after upgrading, perform /usr/lib/osa/bin/hot_add to regain access to missing LUNS. Once this patch has been installed, the system will need to be re-booted to insure the new rdriver is loaded. README -- Last modified date: Thursday, February 26, 2004
