Patch Installation Instructions: -------------------------------- NOTE: Apply this patch to PC-X versions 1.0 or 1.1. This patch consists of three files: XMATH.EXE, XNOMATH.EXE, and FONTS.ALI. On the system where PC-X is installed exit Windows. Rename the existing X.EXE file in your PC-X directory, e.g. \SOLARNET\PC-X. Unless your PC has a 386 with no coprocessor, copy the patch file XMATH.EXE to the PC-X directory, renaming it X.EXE. On a 386 PC with no coprocessor, copy the patch file XNOMATH.EXE to the PC-X directory, renaming it X.EXE. Rename the file FONTS.ALI in the FONTS\MISC subdirectory of the PC-X directory, e.g. \SOLARNET\PC-X, and replace it with the patch file FONTS.ALI. All drive letter and directory name references shown above are PC-X defaults. If you have installed PC-X or the patch file on a different drive or in a different directory substitute your drive and directory names in the example commands. Operational Notes: ------------------ After completing the installation steps above restart PC-X. PC-X will now be using the new X server executable.
