SOLARIS TRANSITION TOOL (STT) (1.2)
Aids in Converting SunOS 4.1.x Code to Solaris 2
------------------------------------------------

The Solaris Transition Tool -- a freely available unsupported product of
SunSoft -- is designed to aid developers in porting source code from SunOS
4.1.x to Solaris 2. The tool identifies function calls that need to be changed
between the two releases and can automatically modify source code for
developers.

The Solaris Transition Tool, which supports both C and C++ source code, is
available in GUI and command line versions with executables for Solaris SPARC, Solaris x86, and SunOS 4.1.3.

Enclosed is a tar file which contains the executables, tool information,
and documentation. 

Tar file contains:

o Postscript Documentation - "solarbook.ps"

o Scripts - To verify your Sun platform and run the appropriate executable
  	
	. OPEN LOOK Version - "olstt" 
  	. Motif Version - "xmstt"
    	. Command Line Version - "stt"


To install the Solaris Transition Tool:

    tar -xvf solaris.tar

This will create a directory "stt" where the tool will reside.


Though STT is unsupported, we are interested in your comments and
bugs. We will try to respond to these and fix the tool periodically.
