Imageware used the NPGL library from Portable Graphics to port the X Windows/Motifr version of Surfacer to the Sun platform where it runs at accelerated speeds. Surfacer was previously available on Silicon Graphics (SGI) IRIS and Indigo workstations. Orbix is IONA's implementation of the Object Management Group's (OMG's) Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) specification, which unleashes the power of distributed object technology.
