	MATRA DATAVISION PORTS CAD/CAM/CAE SOFTWARE TO SUN

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. --June 25, 1990--Sun Microsystems and Matra
Datavision, based in Les Ulis, France, announced today the availability
of EUCLID-IS(TM), its high-end CAD/CAM/CAE software package, on SPARC
(TM)-based Sun workstations. Matra Datavision will offer EUCLID-IS
running on SPARC workstations through its sales organizations in the
United States, Europe, Japan and Hong Kong, as well as through
distributors worldwide.

EUCLID-IS is a comprehensive CAD/CAM/CAE software package that
integrates and manages product design, analysis, documentation and
manufacturing activities. It features solid modeling technology in an
object-oriented database.  Because EUCLID-IS supports an open system
architecture, it is among the easiest and fastest CAD/CAM/CAE systems
to assimilate into engineering and manufacturing organizations.

"This is a key international mechanical CAD/CAM/CAE package available
on the Sun SPARC/UNIX(R) platform," said Jim Blaschke, director of
technical markets at Sun Microsystems.  "Europe's sizable aerospace and
automotive industries have made mechanical design automation one of the
largest markets there.  The Matra Datavision/Sun partnership will give
Sun an opportunity to expand its presence in this market and open new
opportunities throughout the world." MCAD is one of Sun's largest
vertical market segments.

Sun's SPARC/UNIX platform is the best-selling RISC platform available
today and offers the industry's most open architecture.  "The
Sun/EUCLID-IS solution combines Sun's experience in UNIX-based hardware
with Matra Datavision's expertise in 3-D modeling and object-oriented
product databases," said Victor Waknine, executive vice president of
Matra Datavision.  "This alliance of established leaders will bring
significant benefits to 3-D CAD/CAM/CAE users.  It also confirms Matra
Datavision's multi-platform marketing strategy based on the openness of
