		SPARCstation 1 - New Product Announcements

We are proud to announce three new SPARCstation 1 products:

1. 16 MB Memory Expansion Option
2. Second Monitor Bundles
3. 4/60B-8 

** 16 MB Memory Expansion Option **

This option includes four 4 MB SIMMs for your SPARCstation 1.  This
product will allow Sun's standard SPARCstation 1 (preconfigured with
eight 1 MB SIMMs) to be expanded to 40 MB.  The SIMMs are customer
installable.  Finally, this option is being introduced at the very
competitive price of $5800 (discount category A) for 16 MB.  

The 1 and 4 MB SIMMs may be mixed if the following rule is followed:

	 SIMMs must be added four-of-a-like-kind (1 or 4 MB) at a time.
	 In addition, the rules regarding which SIMM slots should be
	 used and how to use the included SIMM extraction tool are explained 
	 in the RMF shipped with each 16 MB Memory Expansion option.
	       

** Second Monitor Bundles **

This option includes a monitor, cables and an 8-bit color framebuffer.  It
is designed for those users who wish to put a second or third monitor (single
user) onto their SPARCstation 1.  It is a customer installable option.  We are 
announcing both a 16-inch Trinitron bundle and a 19-inch Trinitron bundle.

** 4/60B-8 : Diskless, Headless SPARCstation 1 **

The diskless, headless, 8 MB configuration of SPARCstation 1 is designed
to be used a base unit to be stacked in a rack or to be sold with a
Second Monitor Bundle in order to meet some customers' strict per item 
expenditure guidelines.  It is not designed to be used a server; and,
therfore, does not include the server documentation which comes standard
with the SPARCserver 1.
