We are pleased to inform you that the Catalyst Catalog, SPARCware
Edition, Fall 1989, is hot off the press and has been distributed
to field sales offices and distributors.  Please contact your local
sales rep if you would like a copy.

You will notice some cosmetic changes from the last edition.  We
have changed to a vertical page format (from hortizontal), we have
added an introductory statement from Scott McNealy discussing SPARC,
open computing, the Catalyst Program's growth, and industry standards.

We have included a page on the Catalyst program describing the purpose
of the program, membership requirements, the Advantage program, and
more.  A separate page was written to explain how to efficiently use
the catalog, and the purpose of publishing it.  We have again included
Sun products, Sun Consulting Services, and Sun User Group sections, so
you can utilize and benefit from these services if desired.  Last but
not least, you will notice a new cover!  It's visual, bright, and 
portrays a myriad of applications on a dynamic, sophisticated Sun
system.  We hope you appreciate the end result!

The larger annual Catalyst Catalog which lists all Sun platform Catalyst
applications will be forthcoming sometime CYQ190.
