           Sun and Wavefront Sign Marketing Agreement

Dallas, August 7, 1990 -- Sun Microsystems and Wavefront Technologies
have signed a development and marketing agreement under which
Wavefront's Visualizer Series (tm) products will be available for Sun's
SPARC (R) workstations and servers. The Visualizer Series is an
industry leading advanced 3-D animation, simulation, data/analysis
package.  With this agreement, Wavefront joins Sun's Catalyst program
for third-party software and hardware vendors.  Details on the
availability and price of Wavefront's Visualizer Series products for
Sun workstations will be announced at a later date.  

Founded in 1984, Wavefront Technologies is the leading supplier of 3-D
computer graphics, animation, simulation, and rendering software.
