In order to support this momentum, Sun has released the DeskSet for Sunview to complement the DeskSet version already shipping with OpenWindows. This product is intended to support end-user migration from SunView to OpenWindows by providing OPEN LOOK ease-of-use to our 4MB machines. Over time, we anticipate that most customers will migrate to 8MB machines running OpenWindows. DeskSet for Sunview will help ease this transition. Note: DeskSet for SunView is intended for end-users with 4MB Sun hardware. All developers and customers with SPARCstations should be encouraged to use DeskSet for OpenWindows. Upgrades => No further development will be done on SunView. Future releases of the DeskSet will be based on OpenWindows.
