	Attached are the recent numbers from the IDC 1989 workstation 
	marketshare report indicating that Sun is the #1 vendor with
	a 36.3% marketshare of shipments and 31.7% marketshare of revenues of 
	worldwide workstation/server U.S. based vendors, Calendar l989.

	The Sun User Group annual conference this year will again
	include a track of technical presentations from the USER
	community and will make available a conference proceedings.
	Authors are invited to submit papers describing advanced work
	using Sun technology.

16.08 DeskSet Environment for SunView Now Shipping

	Market acceptance of OPEN LOOK is growing. In order to support this
	momentum, Sun has released the DeskSet for Sunview to complement the
	DeskSet version already shipping with OpenWindows. This product is
	intended to support end-user migration from SunView to OpenWindows by
	providing OPEN LOOK ease-of-use to our 4MB machines. Over time, we
	anticipate that most customers will migrate to 8MB machines running
	OpenWindows. DeskSet for Sunview will help ease this transition.

	Sun is becomming very active in the PICK-based solutions

	show, being held in Anaheim on April 11-13.
