      Announcing True Color Frame Buffer for Sun386i

RasterOps has announced the 386i/TC 24-bit TrueColor Frame Buffer 
for the Sun386i at SIGGRAPH '89 in Boston (8/1 - 8/3).
This product was shown in both Sun's and also RasterOps booths
and was a big hit.

The 386i/TC board is a true color 24-bit frame buffer that allows
one to work with photographic quality images on Sun386i. The board
displays 16.8 million colors simultaneously and can be expanded by
purchasing either the PIP option or the SFX option. The 386i/PIP
option brings NTSC, S-Video and RGB signals directly into the Sun386i 
for display, capture, and manipulation. The 386i/SFX option allows 
users to mix the computer screen with an external video source to 
create one signal which can be output as NTSC, S-Video, or RGB.

Target markets for this product includes publishing, pre-press, 
and medical imaging. However, the capabilities of this product 
will make it applicable for many different markets.

The 386i/TC board with the device driver is available today from 
RasterOps and the list price is $6195.00. However, all Sun VARs 
and OEMs may purchase this color board directly from RasterOps for 
only $3095.00.
