OpenFonts was the first openly available technology that allows use of the same font on any type of output device, from low to high resolution. OpenFonts consists of TypeScaler(TM) and TypeMaker(TM) software. Context will receive TypeScaler, for generating bitmaps at any point size or resolution, and a set of ten Lucida typefaces in Sun's F3(TM) format. F3 is an intelligent outline format produced using Sun's TypeMaker. X11/NeWS is Sun's windowing system that combines the performance and PostScript(TM) graphics capability of NeWS with the ability to run the large installed applications base of X Window System, Release 11 as well as SunView(TM) applications. At a base technology level, X11/NeWS will provide a new graphics dimension to Context Division's electronic publishing software. According to Mike Sheridan, business development manager for printing and typography at Sun, "Combining our technology with Context's advanced software creates one of the most powerful, full-function electronic publishing solutions for large networked environments." Sun Microsystems, Inc., headquartered in Mountain View, Calif., is a leading worldwide supplier of network-based distributed computing systems, including professional workstations, servers and UNIX operating system and productivity software. ### OpenFonts, X11/NeWS, TypeMaker, TypeScaler and F3 are trademarks of Sun Microsystems, Inc.
