			SunTrac 1.3 Ships!

This message details the description and ordering information for
SunTrac 1.3, which is now available.

I.  What's new about SunTrac 1.3?

Release 1.3 adds two much requested features to SunTrac--
Resource-constrained scheduling, and printing Sketch charts to
HPGL plotters.

Resource-Constrained Scheduling:

On previous versions of SunTrac, the program assumes unlimited
resources when creating a scheule against milestone dates.  SunTrac 1.3
still operates in this way, but there is a new and optional way to
determine schedules -- one based on resources available.  With this
option selected, SunTrac will create a schedule based on available
resources.  This reflects a sometimes more practical approach to
project management.  For example, there may be a shortage of staff; or,
two activities can only be done by one person.  Release 1.3 extends the
SunTrac scheduling procedure to generate schedules where projected
finish dates account for the availability of resources.

HPGL plotters:
SunTrac 1.3 now supports HPGL plotters for all Sketch diagrams.  Up to
four different pen colors can be used.

Of course, release 1.3 gives you the ability to run SunTrac
on all of Sun's hardware architectures -- Sun-3, SPARC/Sun-4, and
Sun386i.  3.5-inch floppies are available for Sun386i architectures
only.

Also included is a new tutorial, and 1.3 release notes.

1.3 is available under OS 4.x only.  There is no longer a 3.x version
available.  Note that both domestic and international versions require
hostid passwords.
