LAT HOST SERVICES SUPPORT FOR SUN-3 AND SUN-4 SYSTEMS

Ki Research Inc., a communication and networking Catalyst vendor,
has announced support of its 88K LAT Host Services product for Sun-3 
and Sun-4 systems. The 88K LAT Host Services software provides users 
with the ability to remotely login to a Sun-3 or Sun-4 system from a 
DEC or DEC compatible terminal server. More specifically, the 88K LAT 
Host Services product is described to provide the following 
features/benefits:

o 16, 32, 64, 128 or 128+ terminal sessions from DEC or DEC compatible
  terminal servers

o Terminal sessions from multiple LAT terminal servers

o Cost efficiency by eliminating the need for separate asynchronous 
  controllers, RS232 cables and host-side LAT terminal servers

o CPU efficiency by allowing inputs and outputs from a LAT terminal
  server to be multiplexed in a single datagram, thereby reducing 
  kernel interrupts

o Flexibility in and simplification of configuring terminal network
  to access UNIX and VMS systems

o High data rates - maximum theoretical rate is 150 Kbps based on an 80 
  millisecond timer
