generic 'installpatch' and 'backoutpatch' scripts provided with
each patch.  Any other special or non-generic installation
instructions should be described below as special instructions.


Special Install Instructions: 
----------------------------- 
1. Log in as superuser (root):
   # su
   Password:

2. Disable the printing server, shutdown lp system:
   # lpshut

3. Apply the patch by typing:

   # cd <patch-dir>/101941-03
   # ./installpatch .

   where <dir> is the directory containing the patch and <patch-id>
   is the patch number.  <dir> must be a full path name.

4. Remove all installed printers by following the instructions   
   of the rm_np_printer program:

   [NOTE: If you have customized any files in the printers' spool directories,
    please save these changes at this time.  You can re-add the changes after
    step #6.]

   # /opt/NeWSprint/bin/rm_np_printer

5. NOTE: This step is critical for non-US-English NeWsprint 2.5 Rev B
    environments, for example Japanese environments; optional otherwise.

   # NP_LOCALE=$LANG; export NP_LOCALE
     
   (or explicitly state the applicable locale, for example:
     # NP_LOCALE=ja; export NP_LOCALE)

6. Install the printers by following the instructions of the
   add_np_printer program:
   # /opt/NeWSprint/bin/add_np_printer -t

7. Enable the printing server, start lp system again:
   # /usr/lib/lpsched
