A CALL FOR DIGITAL VIDEO
The 11th Hamburg International Short Film Festival, which takes place 1st - 5th of June1995 in Hamburg, Germany, is looking for original works in the digital video format for its new section "Digital Video". The section DIGITAL VIDEO was newly created in addition to the established programmes to reflect the new technologies in the media and in connection with the 100th anniversary of film celebrated worldwide in 1995. With the growing proliferation of the CD-ROM as a consumer media, digital video formats like QuickTime or Video for Windows have become a new form of expression, especially in the short form, which is reflected in the growing number of musicians experimenting in the new media format. In its new section the 11th Hamburg International Short Film Festival presents only digital videos that run on personal computers and are no longer than 20 minutes.
Those interested in participating should write for an entry form or send their work (on VHS videotape only) directly to KurzFilmAgentur Hamburg e.V., Glashüttenstrasse 27, 20357 Hamburg. The deadline is January 15th, 1995.
