THIS IS MY SUBMISSION TO THE GAME PROGRAMMING CONTEST Program title: "Final round" Category: New game by one person Author: Juan Alberto Munoz Snail-Mail: Los Alamos 11-13, 4§ 2§ 08301 - Mataro Barcelona (SPAIN) E-mail: iarq3@cc.uab.es ------------- "FINAL ROUND" ------------- It's a boxing game (phew!). Requirements ------------ - VGA - 1.6 Mb disk space - 600 Kb free base RAM (sorry, not EMS/XMS yet). Supported --------- - SoundBlaster card. Running the game ---------------- Type in BOXEO.EXE. Optionally, it accepts one of the following command-line parameters: N turns sound off S forces Speaker sound (if SoundBlaster caused problems) Example: BOXEO N starts the game with sound disabled. Without parameters, the game detects and uses the installed sound device. Anyway, the sound can be toggled on/off during play. Game controls ------------- - Menus are controlled via cursor keys/Return/Esc, as usual - Each player can choose a set of keys for the boxer control - During fight, combination of the direction keys with/without the fire key gives several different attacking/defensive movements - At the end of each round, the "R" key brings in the replay option: play/pause/slow/backwards/etc. pushing the available buttons (controlled like a menu).
