The Game Development contest organized by X2 Support Group will be
judged by the following individuals (in alphabetical order). Half of
them are members of the X2 Support Group, half are especially invited
experts.

X2 Support Group is a student society in Oulu University and all of
the members are studying to become Masters of Science in Technology in
Electrical Engineering or Information Engineering. There might not be
too much information about our members, but we have good basis.

There might be some more judges depending on a lot of things..
Probably not, but anything is possible.

** Antero Metso / X2 Support Group

System software and hardware maintainer, a visionary.

** Barry and Chris Egerter / Egerter Inc.

Authors of the WGT graphics library, several demos and some excellent
tutorials.

** David Freeman / Nexus

Maintainer of the Games Domain programming section (Nexus). In real
life he works for Argonne National Laboratory in ASD.

** Diana Gruber / Ted Gruber Software

Author of several commercial and shareware games, author of the book
Action Arcade Adventure Set, has written several articles in several
magazines including PC Techniques and Dr. Dobb's Sourcebook, founding
member of STAR, etc.

One of the few (active) female members in game industry.

#Maintains x2ftp.oulu.fi Amiga and Console sections. Has known to be

** Jari Karjala / ftp.funet.fi

Maintainer of the msdos games section in ftp.funet.fi (one of the
largest ftp-sites in the world). Has also written a couple succesful
games (StarMines II).

Maintainer of Commodore 64 (et al) and unix sections in x2ftp.oulu.fi.
Has written x64, a C64 emulator for unix. What a waste of talent..

I can't tell you much about myself, I don't do much in real life.. I
am the main person responsible when things go wrong. For any possible

Programmer of such commercial games as California Games, Koronis Rift,
Rescue on Fractalus, and Reader Rabbit 2 for Windows.  Now Director of
his own game house, might be looking for new games to be released..

** Mark Feldman / PC Game Programmers' Encyclopedia

Australian, who moved to USA. Best known as the editor and co-author
of the PC Game Programmers' Encyclopedia. Excellent!

** Marko Laakso / X2 Support Group

System software and hardware maintainer, writes most of our scripts.
MUD maintainer.

** Tommi Saarinen / X2 Support Group

So far the only one of X2 Support Group that has managed to graduate:
he's now M.Sc. Tech. in Information Engineering.  He also masters
unix, networks and computers in general.. Whenever there is an
unsolvable problem, he fixes it.
