The contest is  organized  by X2 Support   Group with  the  purpose of
inviting  game programmers to  share their wisdom and   to see if they
really  can do what they   talk about. A  special  efford is put  into
encouraging  beginners to get  started by  offering feedback for every
entry and offering lots of great prizes.

X2  Support Group exists  to make high quality programming information
available for  everyone and to  raise the  level  of game and software
industry in general. We don't aim to serve, we do it.

After the  contest there might be a  CD-ROM available with the contest
entries, the general x2ftp.oulu.fi archives and other material. To get
the archives right _now_, please check the README.cdrom text file.
