This is a collection of essays - some written specially and some seminal
papers in the field.

The topics include: the position of AI as a discipline vis a vis the other
sciences and engineering, the methodology of AI research, the philosophy of
mind and neurobiology.  There are also some papers on areas of AI proper.

Some of the papers are really interesting, some of them aren't.  A good
book for browsing in.
