It does not, however, give any support to the procedures subsequently described in the book. Additional material linking the circulation and the manipulations involved would be more convincing. The lymphatic, thoracic and splenic pumps are clearly explained. Photographs of the procedures are also included. Specific symptoms prompting the use of the thoracic and splenic pumps are listed, though not for the lymphatic. The material introducing spinal manipulation is both less specific and less lucid. An abundant number of of technical terms are introduced. These terms are defined, but not in a helpful manner. This introductory section could be improved by the elimination of technical terms and the addition of an explanation of the objective to be accomplished. As an alternative, the section could be removed, as the instruction on manipulative procedures does not rely on it. Manipulation of the thoracic, lumbar and sacral vertebrae is described very well, but the location and description of the cervical area is more problematic. copyright Robert M.
