REVIEW: A POCKET TOUR OF MONEY ON THE INTERNET by Mark Fister SYBEX 1995 MONEY ON THE INTERNET is one title in the POCKET TOUR series that gives the reader a quick, no-nonsense approach to learning how to use the Net for practical purposes. Author Mark Fister provides readers with a great number of useful and valuable tips on how to access the information available on the Internet to make wise and accurate financial and investment decisions, In Part 1: The Basics, Fister covers the essentials on both financial planning and Internet access. This section was evaluated by my wife Cynthia, an academic (maths) and she reported that she found it well presented and informative. Cynthia has no Internet or financial experience and so her comments are valuable to me. However, if you are familiar with the basics of both subjects yoy can safely skip to Part Two with total impugnity. Part 2 focuses on the investment resources themselves - mailing lists such as the Electronic Journal of Investing, Web sites, appropriate USENET newsgroups, etc. Other subjects include fundamental stock analysis, fixed income analysis, mutual fund analysis, futures and options, statistics and online trading and a whole lot more. MONEY ON THE INTERNET is a valuable guide and tool to harnessing the information available on the Internet. It would behoove any serious investor to learn and profit from it. %T Money on the Internet %A Mark Fister %I SYBEX %C Alameda California %D 1995 %O $12.99 %G ISBN: 0-7821-1696-5 %P 165 pages, paperbound %K Internet, financial, investments (C) 1996 Michael Crestohl Nahant Massachusetts USA mc@shore.net DISCLAIMER: I have no interest, financial or otherwise, in the success or failure of the book or materials reviewed herewith, nor have I received any compensation (other than a review copy requested by me) from anyone who has.
